Everest Group Co., Ltd.The Bermuda-based re/insurer has announced two key leadership appointments at Everest Global Wholesale & Specialty (GWS), effective October 1.

Steve Bumpane

Stephen Bompane has been appointed as global head of construction for GWS, Jason KeaneEverest Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, Global Wholesale and Specialties. In this newly created role, he will lead Everest’s global construction business, driving underwriting strategy, market coordination and broker relationships in key markets.

also, Danielle Stewart Has been promoted to President of Everest Evolution (Evolution). Lisa Davishead of wholesale and specialty products, North America.

Stewart currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Evolution and has played a central role in the development of the platform since its launch in 2024. She will now lead Evolution’s continued growth in the U.S. wholesale market, overseeing underwriting, portfolio management, operations and distribution.

Buonpane was appointed president of Everest Evolution in 2024. He previously served as Everest’s casualty and industry practice leader. Prior to joining Everest, he held senior construction and casualty roles, including executive vice president and construction industry practice leader at Chubb.

Stewart joined Everest in 2022 and was named chief operating officer of Everest Evolution in 2024. She previously served as head of national wholesale distribution for Everest Insurance and held leadership roles at Liberty Mutual.

TMK appoints Barnes as head of marine and energy division

Tokyo Maritime Kiln (TMK)International specialty insurance company announces appointments Alex Barnes Serves as Head of Marine and Energy.

Barnes has led the department on an interim basis since January 2026 and will assume the position permanently with immediate effect.

Barnes brings more than 28 years of underwriting and leadership experience to the position, including 21 years with Beazley, where she built and developed underwriting capabilities across its energy division spanning portfolio management, client service and technology underwriting.

Her appointment represents the next stage in TMK’s long-term investment in its marine and energy portfolio. TMK is building its specialist underwriting and claims capabilities across the division and plans further senior hires over the coming months to expand its market share across all marine and energy segments.
