The long-awaited future got a step closer this week when officials in Kissimmee, Florida, unveiled new infrastructure to support air taxi/flying car service in the coming years.
“We will be flying from the Orlando area to Tampa in 30 minutes,” Kissimmee Aviation Director Shaun Germolus said in a press conference and statement, according to news reports. outlets.
Infrastructure at Kissimmee Gateway Airport includes air traffic management technology and fast-charging stations for electric air taxi systems, which are expected to be launched in the near future.
